Welcome to Petra International Ministries

We at Petra International Ministries wish to extend a warm welcome to each of our new family members. You will find us to be a House known for our genuine loving and hospitable nature that makes you feel right at home. Like any good loving family, we want to ensure that you know what we believe and hold dear as our core values. To better acquaint you with these ideals we recommend that you attend our New Members Orientation classes which are scheduled on Saturday mornings and only require four (4) hours of your time! That’s a small sacrifice for a great reward. (Class dates will be posted on our calendar of events page).

For your added convenience we have made a wonderfully dynamic video presentation of our class on “Salvation” available here on the website.  I encourage you to watch it in its entirety as it is sure to reveal the unconditional love of God and deepen your understanding of the unique relationship He desires to have with His children.

After completing the Video please sign your name below and leave us a comment to let us know your thoughts. We also invite you to browse our FAQ’s and email my team with any additional questions you may have petraoffice@petranation.org.  We thank God for you and look forward to seeing you soon!

(FAQs) Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to be baptized in order to be saved?

Answer: No, salvation is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8-9 “ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;…” Our salvation has been purchased through the shed blood of Jesus Christ who sacrificed His life on the cross to pay the price for forgiveness from our sin. However, Baptism is an important part of our faith and the practice of Christian believers because it symbolizes that we have died to our old way of life having been buried and have arisen to a new life in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”.  Lastly, it is a demonstration of your faith in Jesus Christ and identifies you as a member of the body of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”

Q: Will I lose my salvation if I sin after I’m saved?

Answer: No, once you are saved you cannot lose your salvation …John 3:16 says,”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begottenSon, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. NIV It was His love for you that brought about your salvation not your good works. He also said, in John 6:39 “This is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.” NIV

John 6:39

“This is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.” NIV

Q: Is God mad at me when I mess up or make a mistake?

Answer: No, God is for you and not against you. He wants you to succeed in your Christian walk through life. Rom 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”.

Rom 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”.

Q: How do I make things right again after I mess up or sin against God?

Answer: Repent (which means to change your mind and return to the God way of thinking) He doesn’t change His mind about you or remove his love. He makes provision for you to reignite and restore your relationship with Him and receive forgiveness according to 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.
